Doom Day: this is the end

Ciao people,

ai ai ai.. pijnlijk moment is dit.
Zat al tijdje in de pijplijn, maar nu is het werkelijkheid geworden.

Woensdag 30 mei, akelig dicht hé, vlieg ik terug naar Belgie.
Waarom? Te weinig klanten, vindt men in Oostende, om 2 hosts de kost te geven op deze bestemming.

Dus vlieg ik woensdag terug, voor weekje vakantie, om dan ergens anders heen te gaan.
Waar? Zal ik normaal gezien morgen weten. Het moet wel ook in de functie van host zijn, anders pas ik. Heb geen zin om animatorke te gaan spelen in pakweg Turkije of zo. Gans de zomer opgesloten in een gouden kooi, tussen redelijk marginaal volk? Neen dank u!

Heb me net nog ff geamuseerd met een flyerke te maken...

2e Bye Bye Party in nog géén 3 maanden, dan begin je het klappen van de zweep te kennen hé ;-)

Dus voor de geinteresseerden. Donderdag ochtend om 01.40am land ik, hopelijk komt papie me ophalen. Tijdens de namiddag bezoek ik mijn van-een-hersenbloeding-herstellende opa in revalidatiecentrum De Bijtjes (aka de Meli) in Lennik. Vrijdag wordt Gent - met zeker een Deca'tje op vrijdagavond en maybe zaterdag avond - en zondag zit ik in Mons voor één of ander festival, met een waalse gidse die hier in Sicilie werkte en toevallig ook dan in Belgie is. Voor volgende week maandag is mijn agenda nog redelijk onbeschreven. Bellen kan op mijn belgisch nummer, vanaf nu donderdag dus.

Hoop zo veel mogelijk van jullie fans te horen en te zien. Laat me weten waar je uithangt en ik kom er ff bij hangen.

Day 013, a small step for man, but a geant leap for my social life

Friday the 13th hasn't ment anything to me so far,
nor in Belgium, nor elsewhere. Just like april first. What's the big deal?
It is just a date, a number people accord to a day, to not forget there appointments or pay-deadlines. In Italy, friday the 13th is just another almost-weekend-day.
Friday the 17th, that is the real hell! Nobody would close a deal on friday the 17th, or leave the house for no urgent reason. Supersticious they are, you bet!

For me - my social life specificaly - friday 13th has become a good day, if not the best day so far!
Finally i met miss Neckermann von Germany who was kind enough to invite me for lunch at their favorit lunchbar so i got to know the people from Thomas Cook / Neckerman from Germany, Belgium and Ostereich. Which is nice. Miss Neckerman is called Christina and she's more a mama to the reps (= short for "tour operator representatives") than 'just another rep'. And she even speaks a mouthfull of Vlaams.. Otimo!!

Unfortunatly they all got very early flights tomorrowmorning, so no get-togethering tonight, cause they al have to get up to get their clients to the airport - CTA APT -, many of them have more than 1 flight that day, to and from different destinations in their respectievelijke countries. For Example TC Germany has flights to Frankfurt (FRA), Dusseldorf (DUS), Berlin (THF) or Munich (MUC) at different times. Perhaps all on the same day? I'm not sure about that last day-thing, i'm not that interested in the competition.

So no party today??? Wrong answer... i'll get together with some locals who run the bar annex tearoom underneath the Jetair office. They told me to come around midnight... hell, they probably don't know i get up every morning at 7am... but have to go show my face overthere, can't be rude to a Sicilian person when you get an invite. They might make you an offer you can't resist !!Got'em?
I do prefer to survive this so far fantastic friday 13th.....
